Nestled in Serra d'El-Rei ("Mountains of the King"), a charming parish in the municipality of Peniche, we offer a laid-back, sun-soaked retreat designed for surfers, golfers, adventurers — and anyone looking to unwind.

Just minutes from world-renowned beaches like Supertubos, Praia D'el Rey, and Baleal, our location places you at the heart of Portugal’s surf scene. Prefer golf? We’re just 6 km from West Cliffs, Royal Óbidos, and Praia D'el Rey Golf Courses — some of the finest greens in Europe. For kiteboarding, head to Óbidos Lagoon, near the historic Óbidos Castle.

Our spacious, fully equipped shared house offers three cozy bedrooms (in a four-bedroom home), two full bathrooms, a half bath, and an outdoor shower. Amenities include:

• A laundry pavilion with two complimentary washing machines

• A large, fenced yard with fruit trees and a vegetable garden

• A gazebo for drying beach gear

• A rinse station for wetsuits, surfboards, and towels

• Exterior security cameras for your safety

The village of Serra d'El-Rei (population ~1,500) boasts a main grocery store, local markets, a butcher, a calisthenics park with paddleball and basketball courts, several specialty shops, cafés, restaurants, a museum, and even a historic palace.

Freedom Surf House offers rooms for rent by the day, week, or month — and a fully equipped, four-bedroom apartment. Rooms can accommodate more than two guests for an extra fee. We offer bunk beds, full-size beds, and twin beds arranged upon request. Please inquire before booking.
